01About me
Wynn Fame
I'm Head of Technology at MADE Lab in Texas, and have spent more than 20 years in coding and web design. To me a good product has to be seen from both sides: the user experience (UX) and how it works underneath.
Before that I worked as a technology expert for companies in Vietnam, Japan and Singapore. At MADE Lab I develop and research software and AI models, train AI systems, integrate large language models (LLMs) and build AI-powered apps and workflows.
02Why hoctech.dev
Vibe coding isn't bad. It lets non-specialists build what they need — but leaning on it too much is dangerous, especially if you plan to go the distance in this field.
I built hoctech.dev for young people who want to break into IT, and for working developers who want to become technology experts: fluent in AI and able to architect systems.
These are hands-on courses that teach the real skills of IT in the AI/SI era — not writing prompts without understanding the technology or the code AI generates.

03The AI/SI era
When AI can easily match the coding output of a CS student with 3–5 years under their belt, the era of training narrow, single-slice code typists is officially over. To survive — and not get pushed down a rung — an IT professional must become a truly full-stack engineer, spanning UI/UX, frontend, backend, and database all the way to cloud and servers.
Their mindset must shift from a “team member” taking assignments to the stance of a chief project architect, with system thinking at the core — in other words, able to work independently without leaning on a team.
